Having the ability to sell well gives you a “license to buy” and here is why.
Think about this for a moment.
If you can accurately predict how long it will take to sell a home and how much money you can sell it for, you will have a license to buy houses and a license to print money. You will develop the ability to gauge both the best and worst scenarios and plan accordingly.
As you become more seasoned, with your confidence growing with each deal you consummate, you will find you are well on your way to mastering the art of the sale. Never put yourself in the position of buying too many homes and just thinking you will be able to sell them. You need to know that you can and will sell them.
Once you are confident in your ability to sell properties and have a better ability to determine their values, everything changes. Then you can buy more and make more profits along the way. Knowing how to sell and to sell well literally takes the risk and the fear out of the equation.
And you get there with experience. It takes experience and you can never short cut experience. Education, mentoring, and taking the plunge will hone that experience for you. To gain the level of confidence it will take to master the art of the sale will require knowledge gained from two to three deals in your chosen market from foray to consummation. Learning the process, mastering the process, getting comfortable with the process from beginning to end, teaches you, educates you, trains you, and gives you the confidence to succeed. Best of all, the experience acquired will be invaluable.
