Successful Investors Know How to Stand Out in a Crowd

Christmas time and thoughts of the coming new year are moments for good tidings, family, friends, and a reflection on oneself, all in anticipation of the coming year. Real estate investors are often advised how to work hard to fit in, when seasoned, experienced, successful real estate investors are keenly aware that when they stand out and make an unforgettable first impression, good things happen and greater success is assured.

It is never enough to just be noticed. Making both a first and lasting impression is what matters. Recognizing what traits are common to successful investors that come to the forefront each and every time is what separates contenders from pretenders and standing out in a crowd.

To stand out from the crowd is to be comfortable within your own skin, with who you are. To exude your own unique and infectious brand of confidence and have the strength to have your own individuality shine through. It is all about being a trendsetter making all the proactive right moves, not a trend follower going through the motions. It is about attitude, being enthusiastic, engaging, friendly, helpful, personable, and positive. Being accessible with an easy going, yet very professional, always respectful manner. To be successful is striving to be significant, that is helping others to also be successful. To be of service to others and avoiding making it about you. Paying careful attention to how you express yourself to others, being confident, sincere, and caring, never confrontational. Being attentive and a consummate listener. Being dedicated and diligent. Being visionary and always then taking action to make those visions real. Thinking creatively. It is okay to copy and learn from others but to make what you have learned your own, to shape it, mold it, refine it, creating your own brand others will envy.

Be passionate, with purpose and discipline. Be conscience of your strengths and your weaknesses, becoming the best you can be. Be reliable and responsible with whatever you do. Do what you say you will do. Show initiative and always work hard, giving your best for tasks large and small. Inspire and lead with excellence. Always think for yourself as you exude self-confidence. Always be comfortable with an easy manner and a sense of humor. Be intuitive and open-minded. Be punctual, approachable, and someone others may count on. Be accountable, transparent, and always honest. Always be willing to take calculated, well considered risks, never foolish ones. Look the part, walk with purpose with eye contact and good posture.  Always maintain a presence

Those investors that stand out in a crowd love what they do and always believe in themselves and what they seek to do. Every one of them remains cognizant that first impressions do matter and that you never get a second chance to make a notable first and lasting impression.  Knowing what you do and how you do it matters. Stand out in the crowd. Every time.
