When you own a business, you always have competition and if you don’t go in with some strategies to help you get ahead of them, you may end up frustrated. The foreclosure investing business is not much different than any other business when it comes to getting ahead of the competition. To do so, you simply need to learn the business models and strategies that I teach, practice, and you’ll be well on your way to getting ahead.
This is a people business and your biggest goal is to create superb solutions for people. But how will they ever know you have THE solution for them, and not your competition, if they never get to talk to you?
They won’t, and that’s why marketing is so important.
You see marketing is the most important thing you can be focusing on in your business. If people don’t know about your business, you’ll never be able to help fix their housing problems. The only way you will be able to get ahead is if people hear about you instead of your competition.

Automated phone messages
When you get started marketing your services, you should set up an automated phone line that has a 24-hour recorded message and an option for callers to reach you live too. I’ve tried various types of voicemails but having a pre-recorded message that also gives callers the option to press a button to get you live is essential.
It works because the message they here is professional and has been tested to work. You don’t have to worry about hitting all of your talking points like on a regular live phone call, because once its recorded it’s the same message 24/7. Now people headed into foreclosure probably don’t want to hear a recorded message. They want to speak with a live person pronto, and that’s why you give them the option to press a button to reach you live (or leave you a voicemail depending on your situation)
Then, you simply answer something like, “Foreclosure Solutions, Inc. This is John, how may I help you?” Don’t just answer, “Hello.” That doesn’t come across as professional at all. Be sure you’re answering that telephone line as the owner of a professional business.

Chances are your competition allows their calls go to a voicemail, or they are robo-dialing people, and this annoys people. Having an informative pre-recorded message will help you stand out from the other options in the marketplace and is an excellent tool to have for your business.

Success requires action
Not many people like to hear, “Stop talking and start doing,” but it’s a great advice. Plenty of people say they want things, but they’re not willing to take the action to get there. If you want a competitive edge, it’s going to require you to keep learning as much as you can about things like being an entrepreneur, property investing, marketing, and so on. Then, put it into practice day in and day out consistently, as many competitors will tire out after a while, but when you stick with it for the long haul, you’ll be ahead of the competition as a byproduct.
